The Full Story
Beginnings
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had an inspired view of ancient places. Growing up, I’d let my imagination run rampant, as I imagined myself discovering some lost city in the lowland jungles of the Amazon, or scaling some great mountain peak in search of a storied stone temple.
Imagining is fun, but experiencing - that is an entirely different endeavor.
I graduated university with a BA in History, and then immediately traveled to Cusco, Peru where I discovered and explored firsthand, the splendor of an ancient civilization. Everywhere I looked, everywhere I hiked and climbed, was stone. For six weeks I stayed in this fabled city, built by ancient masters whose skill was lost, but evidence of their peerless talent remains.
The beginnings of Comerford Stonecraft started there, at 10,000 ft among the Andes, in the great Incan city of Cusco, Peru.
