Builder-Designer-Dreamer
Sean Comerford
This is exactly what I want from life, building and creating in the old way. By using the ancient principles of dry stone walling, traditional stonemasonry and self-taught stone carving - I am creating a lasting impression in a sustainable manner that will last generations to come.

My first real experience with stone came from my travels in the Andes, falling in love with the beauty of Inca stonework and then later in Europe - the ancient stone edifices of old empires and medieval architecture. After my travels, I returned home to begin a life of crafting and creating, thus beginning the saga of Comerford Stonecraft.

Since then, I have traveled and worked all throughout the state of New York, in Buffalo and Rochester learning and building traditional dry-stone structures in the vernacular style with native stone. After that, I journeyed to the Finger Lakes Region building upon my skill set in stonemasonry with dry and mortared applications; such as fireplaces, retaining walls, free-standing fences, foundations, and restoration and preservation work.

I would love to hear about your dreams and ideas for stonework - so send me an email or give me a call!
